I’ve spent my career solving complex problems and delivering results—in the Army, in business, and here in Big Canoe. I’ve led teams in high-pressure environments, managed large-scale systems, and stayed focused on getting things done. In Big Canoe, I’ve served on the POA Finance & Audit Committee, gaining firsthand knowledge of how our community operates and how we can improve.

If elected to the Board, I’ll bring that same level of focus to planning and execution. We need to look beyond the next quarter or budget cycle—we need to set a longer horizon and move forward with discipline and intent.

Here’s how I’ll approach Planning & Operational Excellence:

  • Focus on long-range planning—not year-to-year fixes
    Short-term fixes can’t replace long-term strategy. I’ll advocate for capital and operational planning that looks ahead, anticipates needs, and builds resilience.
  • Use SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound)
    We need to hold ourselves accountable not just for doing the work—but for doing the right work, the right way. Setting SMART goals allows the Board and staff to align priorities, measure progress, and adjust quickly when needed.
  • Ensure strategic alignment between Board decisions and day-to-day execution
    The Board’s job is to set direction. The staff’s job is to execute. I’ll work to strengthen communication between both sides so strategy flows into action.
  • Improve decision velocity—timely action beats delayed perfection
    As Gen. George S. Patton once said, “A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan executed next week.” In Big Canoe terms: we don’t need to rush—but we can’t afford to stall. I’ll support making timely, informed decisions so progress isn’t delayed by indecision.
  • Link resource planning to community priorities
    If we say something matters to property owners, it needs to show up in the budget. I’ll work to ensure that our spending reflects what residents actually value.

Planning means more than spreadsheets—it’s about focus, discipline, and timely action. It’s about making sure we have the right people doing the right things for the right reasons. If elected, I’ll bring a leadership style grounded in execution. Let’s move Big Canoe forward—with purpose and with results.
