My leadership style is grounded in listening carefully, responding thoughtfully, and standing behind decisions once they’re made. I’m not running to win every debate—I’m running to help the Board function effectively and represent the community’s best interests. Boards don’t work when everyone agrees on everything. In fact, I believe respectful disagreement leads to better outcomes. We must be able to challenge each other’s ideas and then move forward with unity once a decision is made.

Here’s what I commit to:

  • Be accessible
    You’ll never wonder how to reach me. My phone number and email are available, and I return messages. Whether we talk by phone, meet on the trails, or exchange a quick email, I believe open communication builds trust. Serving on the Board means being available—not just for meetings, but for people.
  • Communicate clearly
    When the POA Board is working on something important, you deserve to know the purpose, progress, and potential impact. While some issues may take time to resolve, I’ll work to provide honest and timely updates about where we are and why.
  • Lead with integrity
    My wife, Kimberly, is a local real estate professional. To avoid any appearance of conflict, I will recuse myself from all Board discussions or decisions involving the sale or development of POA-owned residential property. I hold myself to a high ethical standard—because trust is earned, and I take that responsibility seriously.
  • Support consensus
    I believe in honest, fact-based debate. As Gen. George S. Patton once said, ‘If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking.’ Constructive disagreement is healthy, and I’ll always voice my views respectfully. But once the Board votes, I will support the outcome. Unity is essential to community confidence and effective execution. I’ve led teams under pressure in combat and in business—I know how to disagree without being divisive.

Note: Not everything the Board discusses can be made public. Legal matters, contract negotiations, and personnel issues must remain confidential by law. But outside those areas, I strongly support open dialogue. I want you to understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how you can be part of shaping our community’s future.

Serving on the POA Board isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about listening, learning, and making well-informed decisions. I’m running to bring steady, experienced leadership to the table—someone who values relationships, respects process, and shows up prepared. If elected, I’ll work every day to earn your trust and help the Board deliver on its responsibilities with focus and professionalism.

If elected, I will also resign from my current role as a Vista Pruning Supervisor. While this position is a contracted role outside of Board responsibilities, stepping down is not just a matter of compliance with the by-laws—it’s the right thing to do. Our community deserves leaders who avoid even the appearance of conflict or divided loyalties. I want property owners to know that every decision I make on the Board will be made with full independence and integrity.
